Policies Labour

What would you change about policies labour in your city?

In Colombia they are governed by the sustantive code of work, There are different types of employment contrats:

1.Fied - term contract: has a specified work limit, where the minimum time in one year and if the employer does not comply, he must pay the worker an indemnity.
2. Indefinite term contract: ther is no stipulated termination date, the employer pays social benefits, in case of termination of the contract, the employer will compensate the worker.
3. Work or labor contract: the contract is for a specific work and ends when the works is completed, the employer benefits him with the payment of social benefits.
4. Apprenticeship contract: the company is linked to the practitioner, the sponsoring company provides means for the practitioner to acquire professional training, the students does not have social benefits, if the practitioner is a university they will earn a minimum salary and otherwise the remuneration will be less than a salary minium.
5. Temporary contract: it is a short time, the employer pay a full salary and does not pay social benefits.
6. Contract for the provision of services: remuneration and time is agreed, the employer does  not pay social benefits, only withholding at the source is deducted.
I lived in Chia both here as anywhere in the country is affected by the way in which the hiring model is now managed, currently the most used is the contract for the provision of services. The people is subcontracted by another company who is called temporary the difference is very huge since with a salary of these with a plant employed earns a salary of 2 millin they disccount 8,3% for health and pension, recive bonuses, severance and paid vacations. Being a contractor and earning 2 million, they discount 28,5% for social security, pay insurance, do not pay premiums, severance payments, holidays, disabilities and fewer holidays.
The government is asked to put this type of contract under controll, because most of the population has this type of employment contract and as it is known there is no type of security and the income is lower.

Demand in my country

 Chia, Cundinamarca

As in most of the municipalities of the Sabana de Bogotá, the main economic activities in Chia have historically been agriculture, floriculture and dairy farming. Floriculture still has a great importance in the economy of the municipality, but this has diversified considerably in the last decades and now the business activity is concentrated mainly in the service sector.10 There are also some industries, among which the production of dairy products, and some manufactures and crafts: painting, sculpture in stone and bronze, joinery, carpentry and wrought iron work.

The gastronomic offer, and the tourism associated with it, is a relevant sector of the economy (in the municipality there are bars and high-end restaurants such as "Andrés Carne de Res" and "El Humero"). Annually, in addition, a gastronomic festival organized by the city hall ("Saboriarte" 11) takes place in Chía, in which a large part of the main gastronomic establishments of the municipality participate. Chía also has a wide commercial and entertainment offer: there are several large shopping centers ("Chía Center", "Sabana Norte", "Plaza Mayor", "Fontanar" and "Bima") and a great offer of night entertainment: a series of nightclubs and restaurants open to the public at night, mainly on Pradilla Avenue and the Chía-Cota Variation.
